  1. In front of the muscle. The implant sits behind the breast tissue, on top of the chest muscle.

Types and indicative prices

Many operations combine two or more of these. Prices are indicative ranges from Seoul clinics; the surgeon recommends a plan and the clinic quotes it after consultation.

  • Implant augmentation

    A silicone gel implant is placed behind the breast tissue or the chest muscle. It suits a clear increase of one cup size or more. The implant brand drives the price: budget smooth implants sit at the low end, while Motiva and Mentor premium lines typically cost about KRW 9–12 million.

  • Fat transfer

    Fat is taken by liposuction from the abdomen or thighs and injected into the breasts. It suits a modest, natural-feeling increase for someone with enough fat to spare. Part of the fat is reabsorbed, so a second session is sometimes needed. Stem-cell enriched versions cost more than this range.

Good to know

  • Allow about 10 days in Korea so the surgeon can check you and remove stitches before you fly.
  • Wear the support bra day and night for as long as the clinic advises, often several weeks.
  • No heavy lifting or strenuous exercise for at least a month.
  • On the flight home, take an aisle seat, drink water and walk about to lower the risk of blood clots.

Questions

Who is it suitable for?

Healthy adults who want more volume or better symmetry and whose weight is stable. Pregnancy and breastfeeding plans are worth raising at consultation, as they change the breasts later.

Implant or fat transfer?

Implants give a larger, predictable increase. Fat transfer gives a softer, smaller change and needs fat to spare. The surgeon recommends one after examining you.

When can I fly home?

UK surgical bodies advise not flying for 5–7 days after breast surgery and staying 1–2 weeks after a general-anesthetic procedure. The operating surgeon gives the final clearance.

When does the final shape show?

Swelling eases over the first weeks and implants settle into position over about 3–6 months.
