ENT or internal medicine?
If the throat is the main event — pain on swallowing, hoarseness, one-sided pain, a blocked ear alongside it — ENT is the usual choice. If the throat is one symptom of a whole-body illness with fever and aches, internal medicine is. Both are walk-in clinics and both are in Kordy’s network; an operator will pick if you would rather not.
What happens at the visit
The doctor looks at the throat, often with an endoscope, and may swab for strep or influenza depending on the picture. Treatment is usually a prescription filled at a pharmacy nearby, and many ENT clinics add a short nebulizer treatment before you leave. Visits are typically quick.
When not to wait for a clinic
